KFEC created the international division of the Kyobo Life Award for Environment in 2010 to award an individual or organization abroad which works to solve environmental problems.

We recognize that we are not free from global environmental problems facing the planet. Therefore we created the international division as our willingness to take the responsibility for solving global environmental problems facing the international society.

KFEC would like to express our appreciation to those who work toward the world's environmental problems by giving this award for the first time from Korea.

Please feel free to recommend those who are working to preserve the environment all over the world.

The qualification of the international division

Foreign individual or organization that makes an achievement being worthy of international emulation to resolve environmental and/or ecological problems as follows.

- That contributes to improve environmental education

- That expresses the value of life or proposes the vision of ecological society in a creative work or a project including journalism, writing, publication, photography, film, performance, design, art or architecture

- That contributes to resolve environmental problems or makes society sustainable through ecological community involvement, alternative skill or environment movement.

* Excluding Korean nationals

The qualification to be the recipient of this award is exemplified as follows. Korean nationals or entities located in Korean territory are excluded from this international division.

- An individual or organization which works to stop the development of thoughtlessnes for the environment and its concerns.
- An individual or organization which works for an alternative movement to build a life community where human beings live in harmony with nature.
- An individual or organization which educates the importance of environment and the value of living together for future generations prosperity.
- An individual or organization which does art work to wake the world to the issues of ecological sensitivity.
- An individual or organization which works to build an ecologically sustainable society.
